This was a two star until about 80% through. After that it rapidly approached a four star, but the majority of the book just wasn't there for me.Again, I say this is the skeleton of the story, and the hints throughout the book made the ending surprise-reveal, well, not a surprise at all. I guessed it towards the very beginning.The dialogue needs work, and I want more detail. It's all very casual. Some lines had me sighing with exasperation, and I do think this book would benefit greatly from editing.I'm still going to read the third book.

Perfect. Just perfect, with so many great characters and character development. All of the plot lines connect to each other, and the story is moving, sweet, and powerful. You can feel what the characters feel, and feel how Ren and Anik's relationship changes and grows along the way. As Anik grows more vulnerable (to Ren, mind you), Ren becomes more mature, strong, and a man with a strong will, conviction, and morals. Inspiring.

After reading the first in the trilogy, I was really looking forward to Endurance, and it didn't disappoint! While the first book lacked some depth of character, intrigue, and length I was hoping for, this second book lays it all out there. There's never a dull moment and I'm so in love with it!!Seeing Anik opening up and Ren growing beyond what he thinks he's capable of is everything I was hoping for! The new characters we see are interesting and there's still layers to the plot to be uncovered. Everything about this book kept me saying 'Just one more chapter' until the early morning!I've had friends ask if I knew of anything like Captive Prince, and I'll definitely be recommending this trilogy to them, it's by far one of the few books that give you everything you want in this genre!

Endurance is the second book in the Iron Breakers trilogy, a historic fantasy that follows disenchanted bastard prince Ren and his companions in their quest to restore the rightful ruler of Frayne to the throne. The author, whose debut was promising, has delivered on that promise with a fast-paced narrative, lavish settings, and beautifully crafted characters. True to form, the story will leave readers dying to know what happens next! I highly recommend this quick, exciting read.

I know this is only the second book (and I'm so excited to read the third) I have to say this is my favorite! The plot twists, the emotions, all the new and exciting information both Ren and Anik learn is almost too much yet somehow perfectly balanced. I get so sucked into this univere that I don't want to leave. I feel as if I'm in a race against time with Ren ad Anik.Beautifully paced book, I'm enjoying it so much so far. Can you tell?

Beautifully written story with great character development. The developing relationship between The two main characters has me so invested. I cannot wait for the next novel to come out! My only issue is that I wish the books were much longer. If you liked The Captive Prince Trilogy then this series is for you.

Three second part is just as great as the first book... had mr. Turning page after page to see where this was going to go so many up and downs all written so very well... great story... this series is a must read

Wonderful story - intrigue, betrayal, loyalty, surprise allies and bitter enemies. Great fantasy story and a cliff hanger to set the reader up for book 3. Hope it won't be long in coming!
